Our Story

JtM Manchester is the legacy of the world renown Jamia tul Muntazir in Lahore, Pakistan. It has moved across the globe to the North West of the UK settling near central Manchester during the 1990s. It has evolved over the years to become the popular facility it is today.

Al Muntazir Trust established in the UK

Purchased first property located in Preston and a Madrassa was set up.

1992
Madrassa moved to Eccles

1993-95
Current location acquired

1997
Phase 1: Laying of First Brick

2005
Building works completed

Madrassa established at 102 Sherborne Street, M8 8ND. Boys classes established

2008
Two cabins acquired

2 classroom cabins are acquired to expand facilities and teaching space. Classes established for boys and girls.

2009
Bibi Fatima Gardens

Fundraising for the Bibi Fatima Garden was completed and the grounds for the garden were layed.

2010
Mini Muslims

Mini Muslims / Nursery level classes were established.

2016
Further two cabins acquired

Further two classroom cabins were acquired to cater for the increasing number of students.

2017
Pre - Hawza classes established

With a demand for Pre - Hawza classes, they were established under the supervision of Syed Zuhair al Hashimi. Further, an IT rooms was established.

2019
Principal: Syed Amir Hussain Naqvi

Maulana Syed Amir Hussain Naqvi was appointed Principal of JtM Sunday School. Furthermore, 4 classroom cabins were acquired and all 8 classes were moved to outdoor cabins. JtM hosted a teachers training event for the Northwest.

Construction Has Begun for #OneVision

Construction has begun for the 2700 sq. m iconic and state-of-the-art building that will sit on the 1.4 acres of land, wholly owned by Al Muntazir Trust
